Being both economical and ecological, SOKRATHERM’s ready-to-connect CHP compact modules offer an excellent way of supplying energy. SOKRATHERM CHP Modules are available for both natural gas and biogas applications.
Co-generation power plants are based on the principle of combined heat and power generation: CHPs are small heating plants which efficiently produce electricity at the same time. As well, they are small power stations that use almost all of the waste heat for heating systems. Optionally designed as a heater/cooler unit, it can use heat to feed an absorption chiller, so the plant heats in winter and cools in summer – with an optimized capacity usage all through the year.
Our CHP units are thoroughly factory tested. They are delivered in a sound-absorbing case and are quickly installed. Their extremely quiet operation and their cushioned bearings prevents any vibrations from being transmitted to the building. Therefore a separate foundation is not necessary. Every module has it’s own integrated lubricating oil tank, so there is no need for any maintenance work or checks on the plant outside the scheduled service intervals.
Every CHP module has it’s own control system, called TeleManager, which operates and monitors the fully automatic operation.
SOKRATHERM CHP compact modules reach an overall efficiency of 91%. Compared to the production of electricity in a large scale power plant and heat supplied through a boiler, the combined heat and power plant needs about 30% Less primary energy. CHP plants also reduce the CO2 emissions by almost 60% and NOx by about 20%

PSE are delighted to announce that our SOKRATHERM CHP products are now accredited under the SEAI Triple E scheme. This accreditation also makes the equipment eligible for the Accelerated Capital Allowance (ACA) Grant.
The Triple E Products Register is a new benchmark register of “best in class energy efficient products”. Products on this register all meet a minimum set of stringent efficiency criteria and typically will be of a best in class efficiency standard.
The ACA is a tax incentive for companies paying corporation tax and aims to encourage investment in energy efficient equipment. The ACA offers an attractive incentive whereby it allows companies to write off 100% of the purchase value of qualifying energy efficient equipment against their profit in the year of purchase.
